Very interesting, I like how you acknowledged Joan's celebrity status. I feel like when allegations are pulled on a famous person, ppl always ignore the power dynamics come with that person's fame (like how fame affects public opinion, and how having a beloved celebrity as an abuser must be). I don't know much about old Hollywood stars, so this was fun to read!

I've only read Possessed, and, of course, not believing every word, just for fun, and it was my favorite book I read this year. Have listened to audio book of The Divine Feud, but haven't seen that movie. I enjoy the Joan Crawford movie parts and roles, when I can view them. (At about 11, my best friend and I loved the Baby Jane movie!) Considering Crawford's childhood, it's so possible the words of Christopher and Christina are true. Awful, but quite possibly fact. I'm not sure Christina's book is on my reading list, I've seen the movie. Fascinating piece, thanks.
